I’m out here in the desert so naturally all of my thoughts and imaginations that go on to black paper and white charcoal, at least as far as Landscapes go are centered on themes of forest trees and bodies of water be they lakes or oceans. When I’m there I’ll probably draw desert stuff.

The last time I saw a Saguaro, I was 12, about to be 13. We did this trip from Texas, where we lived , to California. Why? no idea. Ben and Sonya weren’t the sharing type in those days. At the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, you’ll visit an impressive museum housing an extraordinary collection of over 100 aircraft and thousands of artifacts, spanning from early aviation experimental contraptions to modern marvels of aerospace technology. Highlights include meticulously restored warplanes, commercial aircraft, helicopters, and rare experimental models. I have been to a number of Air Museums, this tops them all so far.

Granite Shoals Texas Quarry Park Trail

Granite Shoals Texas is a small community that boasts a bigger and nicer city hall than Hartford CT, with a hiking/running trail in an old granite quarry. Not bad for a town that is little more than a collection of houses by a lake and a strip of businesses along State Highway 1431.
